Payroll Processing Administrator with UltiPro

Responsibilities






  • Monitor submission of timesheets to ensure completion and review accuracy of approved timesheets, regarding such items as holiday, PTO, and overtime

  • Process all special payroll deductions such as garnishments and benefit adjustments in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process administration of new hires and terminations in the financial accounting and timekeeping system, to include communication with new hires regarding the timekeeping and expense system

  • Maintain and improve the import/export process among the timekeeping, payroll, and financial systems

  • Creating, review, and analyze pre-transmission and post-transmission payroll reports to ensure accuracy

  • Maintain employee records in the financial system for changes, such as supervisor reporting structures and salary changes, in an accurate and timely manner

  • Calculate and maintain the Sales Incentive payouts on a monthly and quarterly basis in accordance with the Sales Incentive plans

  • Work closely with Human Resources regarding inquiries, issues, and procedures effecting payroll and HR

  • Work with HR and payroll company to understand, monitor, and review the proper taxation of employer paid benefits

  • Monitor and work with the payroll company to ensure proper and timely filing and payment of all federal, state, and local payroll taxes; research and resolve any discrepancies

  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting

  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting, as needed





Required Qualifications :

Education:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 3-7 years of payroll experience






  • Required Knowledge/Experience:

    • Analytical skills, including research, ability to interpret data, ability to analyze information

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

    • Ability to communicate with various levels of management

    • Proven knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices, and procedures

    • Strong knowledge in multi-state payroll

    • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations

    • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships

    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

    • Strong written and oral communication skills

    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

    • High level of professional appearance and demeanor



  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:

    • Prior experiance with Unanet

    • Prior experience with UltiPro HRIS/Payroll software
