POSITION SUMMARY


 


Process monthly contractor’s payroll. Assist in all activities regarding entering payroll information, calculating wages and making payments. Processes biweekly payroll in the absence of the Payroll Manager.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES




·         Processes biweekly payroll in the absence of the Payroll Administrator.


·         Process monthly contractors payroll


·         Prepare and process journal entries for contractors payroll


·         Monthly budget vs actual report for contract labor


·         Monthly upload of 1099 recipients to ADP and reconcile vendor files to ensure complete 1099 data - all companies


·         Review and compare ADP invoices to the contracted rates and process payments in Great Plains


·         Process and enter court and child support garnishments in ADP


·         Process and enter direct deposit/cancellations in ADP


·         Reconcile monthly: actual garnishment payments to agencies with employee deduction report


·         Assist with preparing reports, including standard and ad hoc reports


·         Answers basic questions and resolves payroll issues to assist employees in understanding wage payments, procedures, and/or problems.


·         Prepare payroll section of monthly grant invoices


·         Monthly reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts


·         Coordinate, prepare and file time and effort report for federal grant audits


·         Performs other functions as assigned


·         Participates in required training and development activities


·         Fully cooperates with the organization's compliance and continuous quality improvement (CQI) program


          Creates a safe work environment and uses sound judgement in interactions with clients and staff to maintain safety


Required Qualifications :

1 yr +Payroll and Accounting experience; ADP experience


·         Payroll and Accounting experience; ADP and Great Plains software experience; ADP Certification


·         Knowledge of Payroll regulations


·         Problem solving and troubleshooting skills


·         Organizational skills with an attention to detail


·         Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook


·         Knowledge of Great Plains and ADP software


·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills


·         Time managements skills, with the ability to deliver against deadlines


·         Customer Service skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization
