• Participate and provide feedback in annual budget/benefits renewal review for all benefit plans.


• Advise and counsel employees on benefit related issues enabling proper and complete utilization of existing and new benefits to include but not limited to:


o Medical


o Dental


o Vision


o Life, AD&D/Supplemental Life and AD&D


o Flexible Spending Accounts


o HS A Accounts


o LTD


o 401{k)


COBRA


• Communicate with benefit vendors to ensure employees' concerns/complaints/claims issues are resolved in a timely manner and within guidelines of the plans.


Oversee/manage benefits documentation


Maintain benefits documents/make changes when necessary


o Maintain benefits page on eConnect


o Filing benefits paperwork


o Attaching appropriate paperwork to employee's files on Ultipro


• Employee benefits maintenance


o Ensure all benefits are updated in carrier systems


o Enter all new benefits, changes and terminations in HRIS/PR system


o Semi-monthly benefit payroll review


o Review and process benefit invoices


Conduct annual audit of benefits enrollment


o Compare to HRIS/PR systems and carrier systems


o Process, communicate and maintain annual open enrollment for all benefits


• Manage and or assist in benefits regulatory compliance


o Annual 401(k) testing


o Annual 401(k) match


o Review 401(k) plan to ensure compliance


o Annual 401(k) audit


o Annual FSA testing


o Review and filing of form 5500 for Health and Welfare Plans and 401(k) Plan


o Distribution of annual OSHA logs


o MA Healthcare waiver


o Dissemination of regulatory benefit notifications for all benefits.


• Administer and maintain leaves of absences


o Advise employees and managers regarding LOA processes


o Calculate eligibility regarding leave balances, FMLA, LOA, and LTD


o Maintain LOA folders


• Workman's comp


o Submit workman's comp claims


o Maintain workman's comp files


o Enter claims data on OSHA logs


• Unemployment claims


o Complete and Submit all unemployment claims


o Attend UE hearings as needed


o Maintain/File UE claims


• Serve as back up for


o Immigration - assist with tracking employees that must travel abroad to perform work


o Termination process - create termination letters, severance agreements, notifications


o New hire orientation


• Utilize experience and judgment to accomplish assigned tasks


• Assist Benefits Manager with additional tasks/projects, as needed

Required Qualifications :

Job Knowledge


• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of benefit compliance laws


• Excellent attention-to-detail and analytical skills


• Excellent organizational skills


Education


• 2+ years of HR experience


• SHRM Certification Preferred
